What can I expect during a lip filler appointment?
We can use topical numbing cream or a dental block for comfort. Filler is injected into the lips in areas to achieve optimal volumization.
What can I expect after my lip filler treatment?
We suggest antihistamines, intermittent cold pack application, and sleeping with your head elevated for the first few days while swelling subsides. Final results will be seen in about 3 weeks. Lip filler bruising is one of the most common side effects caused by the blood vessels being punctured by the needle. This happens after any injectable treatment, but the lips are particularly susceptible to bruising as they are more vascular.
How long will it last?
A lip filler treatment can last up to 12 months. In the first year, it can be good to do 1-2 retreatments in order to build up the volume of your lips.
